MEET THE FOUNDER
Born and raised outside of Philadelphia, Tara’s love of all things beauty and fashion related started at the age of 7 years old. Between her mother having a personal make-up artist come to their home often, to do her make-up for galas and private events, to Tara's incredible father buying her Vogue magazine, so she could tear out page after page of her favorite looks and create folders to organize them all. Tara was in awe & inspired, and little did she know that she was laying the foundation for her future career and company.
As a graduate from from University of Arizona, double majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing, then moving to Los Angeles to work with top Artistry brands; Bobbi Brown and Shu Uemura for over 10 1/2 years, Tara immersed herself in learning the beauty business and has since worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Kaley Cuoco, Fergie, Trent + Mariqueen Reznor, Jason Alexander, Kristen Bell, Ana Ortiz, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Stevie Wonder, Lea Thompson, Norman Lear, Melissa Joan Hart and Jim Parsons, to name a few.
While being a part of thousands of memorable weddings, red carpet events, photoshoots, fashion shows and milestone celebrations, Tara's passion for creativity and love for helping her clients look and feel their most confident & beautiful self has never wavered. Ultimately, she pursued her dream in launching her own company 12 years ago and named it Make-Up Therapy. Tara’s attention to detail, warm personality and enthusiasm for the art of beauty, makes her more than just your average make-up artist. Over time, she has created a beauty collective, one that boasts an award-winning team of 18 of the most sought-after make-up artists and hairstylists in the beauty industry, who share the same vision and characteristics as Tara. The aesthetic that Tara and her team are known for is effortless chic, natural glam and everything in between.
